Terms of service
Section 6 is the one worth reading twice.
Effective 14 September 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are between CourseSaga, Inc. and the organisation whose workspace uses the service. By creating a workspace or using CourseSaga you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an employer, you confirm you are allowed to.
2. What the service is
CourseSaga ingests material you supply, generates a course and an assessment from it, lets you review and publish that course, assigns it to learners, and reports on completion. Features change as we build; we will not remove something you are paying for without telling you.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for who you invite into your workspace and for what they do there. Sign-in is by magic link sent to an email address, so keeping that mailbox secure is keeping your account secure. Tell us promptly if you believe access has been misused.
4. Your content
Your source material and the courses generated from it remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store, process, and transmit your material to our subprocessors in order to generate, verify, deliver and maintain your courses.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not put material in CourseSaga that you are not licensed to use, and do not upload personal data you do not need in a course.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use CourseSaga to produce material that is unlawful, harassing, or designed to deceive the people being trained.
- Do not attempt to extract another workspace's data, probe our systems outside a good-faith security report, or circumvent usage limits.
- Do not resell or redistribute CourseSaga itself. Courses you generate are yours to use inside your organisation.
6. Generated content and accuracy
CourseSaga drafts training material using an AI pipeline grounded in the documents you supply. We have built the product around making that traceable — every substantive claim carries a citation, an adversarial pass checks claims against your sources, and nothing publishes without a person approving it.
None of that makes the output guaranteed correct. Generated lessons may contain errors, may reflect a source of yours that is out of date, and may omit something important. The publish gate exists precisely because a human being has to be accountable for what an employee is taught.
You are responsible for reviewing courses before publishing them and for what your organisation teaches. In particular, CourseSaga can help you build compliance material, but we make no representation that any course satisfies any specific law, regulation or certification requirement. Do not treat generated content as legal, medical, financial or safety advice.
7. Plans, credits and billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance per billing period on the number of learner seats in use.
- A learner seat is a person assigned at least one course during the billing period. Authors and administrators are not billed.
- Generation is metered in course credits. One credit is one generation run; editing, re-verification and accepting maintenance proposals do not consume credits.
- Credits reset each period and do not roll over.
- You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period. We do not refund part-periods unless the law requires it.
8. Beta status and availability
CourseSaga is early software. We aim for continuous availability but we do not offer a contractual uptime commitment on Free or Studio plans, and you should not build a legally required training programme around it without talking to us first.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you depend on, we will give reasonable notice and help you export your data.
9. Intellectual property
We own CourseSaga — the software, the interface, and the underlying pipeline. You own your material and the courses generated from it. Neither of us gains rights in the other's property beyond what these terms grant.
10. Confidentiality
We treat your source material and courses as confidential and will not disclose them except to the subprocessors listed in the privacy policy, or where the law compels us. If we are compelled, we will tell you unless we are legally barred from doing so.
11. Termination
You may close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or that we are legally required to stop serving, and we will explain why where we are allowed to.
Export your courses and reporting data before closing a workspace. After closure we purge on the schedule in the privacy policy.
12. Warranties
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer where those rights cannot be waived.
13. Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes to these terms
We will email workspace owners at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use CourseSaga after that date accepts the new terms; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund any unused prepaid period.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the courts of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction — except that either party may seek injunctive relief wherever appropriate.
